Graham Young pharmacy has been serving the population of Peterborough for the past 50 years and has a reputation for providing a high standard of care with compassion. There has been a change in management since November 2022 and we would like to apologise to our loyal customers for supporting us through the transition upheaval- our commitment to provide you with outstanding services remains, however and we are now set to bring exciting new developments to help deliver a large number of services apart from dispensing medicines and making sure you receive your medications in a timely and professional manner.
We have a large team of Pharmacists and Pharmacy technicians and dispensers all ready to deliver a range of services from a suite of consulting rooms. We are in excited to announce installation of two 24/7 dispensing machines that will enable you to pick up your dispensed medicines from a collection point outside the pharmacy at a time suitable to you within a 48 hour period.

Dispensing robot for the Pharmacy
We are installing a dispensing robot to mechanise the process of preparing your medications for you- this is to free up the time for our team to focus on delivering services to you.
Picking up your medicines from our 24 hours a day dispensing Robot located outside the Pharmacy!
This might be a service suitable for those of our customers who find it difficult to pick up their medicines during working hours. We will upload the information to your records and you can then start picking up your next prescription from the kiosk! You will be given a 3 day window in which to pick it up once we upload your medication-after that time, all items not collected will be returned to our retrieval system in the Pharmacy for you to pick it up when convenient.

Providing services
We have started our journey for services by introducing some services such as minor illness services with referrals from NHS111 and GP practices. We undertake to respond to every referral in a timely manner when your GP Practice refers a patient to us. We will call you back to discuss your symptoms and together with you, find the correct treatment plan for you. If you need a referral back to the surgery or any other service, we will do our best to make sure you have the best outcome for your presenting condition. We will ensure we communicate every contact back to your GP for continuity of care.
Another service we have started is NHS hypertension case finding service and Blood pressure checks at the Pharmacy with a referral from your General Practice. We would like all our customers over 40 years of age to take up the offer of a free blood pressure check at the Pharmacy. If you have not had a check within the last few years, why not have one as soon as possible? Pease inquire at reception or use our service request form. We hope to make bookable appointments available soon to enable you to book the check at your convenience.
You can also choose to have your routine blood pressure check at our pharmacy instead of having to go to your GP- Please request your GP to refer you to our service- we will forward your results to your GP for updating your records.
